Ideation
Structure :
The structure of Kikobot C1 is built with an ABS plastic body, offering a balance of enhanced rigidity and lightweight design. This combination ensures the robot is both durable and flexible for various tasks. The Kikobot C1, as shown in the image, consists of a sturdy base, six rotating joints for smooth movement, and two connecting links: the upper arm and forearm. These elements work together to provide precise control and stability during operation, making the robot versatile and reliable.
First Prototype
We have successfully created the first working prototype of Kikobot C1, our collaborative robot (cobot). The prototype features a 3D-printed body, showcasing its sleek design and functionality. This initial model demonstrates the core features of the cobot, including precise movement control and adjustable joint angles, while being lightweight and easy to assemble. The 3D-printed prototype is a significant step forward in the development of Kikobot C1, allowing us to refine its design and performance for future versions.
Control Software
The Python-based software for the cobot offers a simple and intuitive interface to control the robot’s movements. You can easily adjust its position and joint angles, and even track its real-time motion. The software also lets you save specific positions, making it easy to automate tasks or recall previous setups. It’s designed to be powerful yet easy to use, perfect for managing Kikobot C1 in various applications.
